Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a top NPP official, has long maintained that he is the greatest choice for the New Patriotic Party whenever the “Breaking The Eight” agenda is mentioned.
Despite this, Nana Konadu Apraku told the NPP and Nana Addo that the e-levy will not solve poor people’s problems.
According to him, the imposition of the electronic transfer levy will exacerbate the poor’s predicament. He eventually advised the NPP that insisting on the e-levy would cost them a lot of money.
“What they intend to do is extremely harmful. In business, it is common knowledge that the lower the government’s expenditures and the lower the taxes it imposes on enterprises, the higher the standard of life.
“The NPP would pay a big price for pushing on the e-levy despite Ghanaians’ opposition and widespread disapproval. All of this boils down to one thing: we want to gain power.” He stated.
